IRP&E is pleased to announce the creation of College-Level Fact Books. Student and employee data have been compiled in eight parts:
- fall enrollment
- entering student profile
- student credit hours and FTE
- degrees awarded
- student success
- current employees
- employee history
- employee FTE
The college-level fact books are an opportunity for faculty and curious individuals to explore a deep dive report on specific information from theirs or other colleges and departments. Below is a more in-depth summary.
Fall Enrollment
One focus of the Fact Books is exploring data on general student enrollment. Changes within undergraduate and graduate students’ enrollment are highlighted within the college and specific departments. Changes are shown in enrollment numbers and sorted into categories of sub population which include racially minoritized, first generation, residency, etc. The first two pages look at student data from 1991 to 2025 and 2017 to 2025 respectively, but the remaining pages of the section report on the 2024 to 2025 academic year.
Entering Student Profile
This section evaluates student profiles for incoming freshmen, transfer students, and new graduate students for the most recent fall term. The primary focus, incoming freshmen, shows the number of students who applied, were accepted, and chose to attend. For each of the students, GPA, sub-population categories, and department are explored. Historic trends over time are also presented.
Student Credit Hours and FTE, Degrees Awarded, and Student Success
These three sections report average credit loads for undergraduate and graduate students as well as time to earn a degree based on sub-population, department of major, and academic year. Providing knowledge on how students are faring in credit load through the duration of their college experience leads to seeing the overall success for students in how many years it takes for a student to graduate as well as how many degrees are awarded each year. Categories of sub-population include Pell recipients, first-generation, etc. and then 2nd fall persistent rates to 6.5-year graduation are shown using various data from the 2000’s onwards.
Current Employee, Employee History, and Employee FTE
These sections give an outlook into employee data and history for each department and job title. Groups listed are tenured faculty, tenure-track faculty, CCA faculty, transitional faculty, admin professionals, state classified, and graduate assistant. Each group has data on its subpopulation demographics, department, and salary for the past 10 years.
